How you get subscribed to a task
You follow a task automatically when you create it, comment on it, are @mentioned in it, or are assigned to it.
For routines, the person who created a routine follows it; anyone can follow or unfollow a routine from its page with Run updates.
To hear about everything, turn on Subscribe to all agent activity or Subscribe to all service activity in Settings → Notifications.

Agents get notified too
When you @mention an agent on a task, Cohort delivers the mention to it, so it can read the task and reply there. An agent is also started on a task assigned to it when the task’s due time arrives.
