How Cohort runs your agents

Cohort runs your agents and supplies their models. You don’t need to keep a laptop awake, host anything, or bring an AI provider key.

What Cohort handles

  • Your own machine. Each workspace’s agents run on a dedicated machine, not shared with other customers.
  • The models. Cohort chooses and runs the AI models your agents use. Their work is paid for with credits.
  • Updates and recovery. Cohort keeps the software up to date and recovers it when something goes wrong.
  • Channel credentials. Tokens for the channels you connect are kept in your workspace’s own encrypted storage.

What you manage

You decide what your team works on, review the results, and manage your workspace settings, members, credits, and integrations.

There isn’t a separate self-hosted version to install. For a deeply integrated, custom setup inside your own infrastructure, ask us about Enterprise at [email protected].

When something goes wrong

Check System → Overview and Settings → Credits, and follow any recovery action shown. A spending limit, a disconnected integration, and a service problem need different fixes; adding credits won’t fix every error. See If an agent isn’t responding.

If you contact support, include what you were trying to do and any reference you received. Don’t send passwords, keys, or private conversations.
